"Boston Light" Talk

October 2007

potluck-crowd.JPG On Friday evening, October 19, there will be a JRL Potluck Dinner at 6:00 pm followed by an extremely interesting talk and slide presentation by the lighthouse keeper of the Boston Light. Sally Snowman is a Coast Guard civilian employee who is the only certified lighthouse keeper and whose job it is to live at and maintain this lighthouse. She and her husband, Jay Thomson, have an extensive knowledge of the history of many of New Englands revered and important lighthouses. They have written a book entitled Boston Light, a Historical Perspective. Their fascinating presentation will begin at 7:30 pm. Mark your calendars!
